There are 4 ways to arrive to Cerro Chato Eco Lodge

  • By car 

A direct road connects La Fortuna with San Ramón de Alajuela. From San José, follow the Interamerican Highway west and turn north at San Ramón, 55 minutes west of San José. Follow the signs for Villablanca through, then north along a lovely road. It ends right in La Fortuna.

Alternate routes are: through Naranjo, Zarcero and Ciudad Quesada; through Heredia, Varablanca, San Miguel and Aguas Zarcas; or from Monteverde or Guanacaste by way of Tilarán and Lake Arenal.

  • By Public Bus 

From San José, buses (255-4318; $2.50) leave the Atlantico Norte terminal for La Fortuna every day at 6:15 a.m., 8:40 a.m., and 11:30 a.m., returning at 1 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.

In La Fortuna, call us and we will pick you for free to get to Cerro Chato Eco Lodge.
