  • Horseback riding to Río Fortuna Waterfall (half day tour)

Is a big adventure by a local guide along beautiful trails with panoramic views the surrounding area. You will combining the ride with an exciting hike down to the falls. There you will see big rocks where you can take a lot of pictures of this spectacular waterfall. You will feel the nature alive!!

What to take: Bathing suit, towel, long pants and hiking shoes.

Rate: $25 per person.
  • Tabacón Hot Springs (day or night tour)

You can´t miss it!!  Visit to Tabacon Hot Springs Resort (including two ways transportation, admission included, buffet dinner, towels and locker) From the volcano's inner core fountains of thermomineral water flow downstream, forming cascades and natural pools, through exotic tropical gardens and into our pools, they'll guarantee you an unforgetable sensation.

What to take: Bathing suit, sandals camera and binoculars.

Rate: $45 per person.
  • Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge (one day tour)

You can find a great variety of endemic and migratory birds plus three different kinds of fish. The tour starts at 7:30 by bus for an 11/2 hour transfer to Los Chiles, a cultural miwed village at only 3 kms. from Nicaragua, there the boat awaits; your river adventure begins on a 4 hours floating safari through Tropical Rain Forest and pastures until arriving at the mash. An experienced english speaking guide will lead the tour. This trip also includes a home made picnic, served in the sorroundings of a green pastoral country side.

What to take: Comfortable clothings, tennis shoes or sandals, bug repellent, camera and binoculars.

  • Hiking tour to Arenal Volcano National Park (half day tour)

After 30 minutes drive to the west side of Arenal Volcano, you will hike through the rainforest, when is possible to see many plants, birds and other animal species that call the rainforest home. You'll hear the volcano's activity. You'll see and enjoy the eruptions but always at a safe distance.

What to take: Hiking shoes, long pants and jacket.

Rate: $25 per person.
  • Night tour to El Silencio Observatory

A night tour to hear and see the magnificent volcano. The panoramic view is spectacular. You 'll see the lava flows of the past years, from that place in a pretty clear day you will be able to see the lava flowing down the mountain, the eruptions as well as you can hear the rumbles of the majestic Arenal Volcano.

What to take: Hiking shoes, long pants and jacket.

Rate: $10 per person.
  • Canopy Tour (41/2 hours)

You began the adventure with a horseback ride os approximately 40 minutes, you then continued with a short walk through the primary rain forest where a guide will explain about the flora and fauna that prevail in the forest. Sometimes are possible appreciate several species of animals like: white face and howler monkeys, guatuzas, ankes a great diversity of birds, like also an anormous variety of plants, orchids and trees. These have great grousor and height and they supass the 35 mts. (115 feet) of height, and is there where are located the platforms.

All the platforms are specially designed for observation of life in the top of the trees and from them you'll enjoy a spectacular view of the forest and the interaction of plants, birds and insects.

What to take: Hiking shoes, long pants, camera, binoculars and insect repellent.

  • White Water Rafting Tour (half or full day tour)

From Cerro Chato Eco Lodge you'll take one hour and 30 minutes drive to the Toro River to start the tour. Two hours by an inflatable raft on the lower, slower moving section of the river. You'll be able to hear the sounds of nature as the guide describes the flora and fauna of the region. During this time it is also possible to see howler monkeys, crocodiles, toucans, two species of sloths and different birds species. Including drinks and typical lunch

What to take: Hiking shoes, short and long pants, camera, binoculars and insect repellent.

Rate: Different sections are rated: Class I and II, Class II and III, Class III and IV.
  • Horseback Riding to Monteverde

Early in the morning you'll leave to the Arenal dam. A motorboat takes you to the other side of Arenal Lake to El Castillo, and then you'll ride for 31/2 hours, crossing rivers, grasslands and forests. You'll climb up over 3.300 feet until you reach the cloud forest. This is probably the most spectacular trip you'll find in Costa Rica - traveling by horseback on the old trade route used by locals for decades!

What to take: Hiking shoes, long pants and jacket.
